Incest Rape: The Indoor Torment

No one deserves to live in fear, most importantly no one should be afraid of the place they call home. The home is said to be where the heart is, a place where there is peace,no fear, lots of happiness and tender love and care.

But, unfortunately, some homes have become dangerous territories, where the game of predator and prey is been played!

Where the one trusted, completely betrays the given trust and becomes one’s biggest nightmare and 24/7 boogeyman, takes advantage of the vulnerability, weakness and innocent love of that young child, to inflict pain, terror and horror in the young child with the use of higher power and strength. Such wickedness!

The one that is supposed to protect and keep the child safe from vices and corruption has now brutally molested, violated and stolen the sweet virtues of the child. The sad awful situation of domestic Incest Rape! The home that should be safe and filled with joy has now become a dreaded place filled with fear!

Incest rape! The silent forbidden immorality , that happens in the society but rarely spoken about by victims due to shame and fear of been judged..

  • But why does this evil happen?
  • Why do fathers, mothers, Uncles, aunties, cousins etc see it fit to violate younger, weaker, more vulnerable members of the family?

These predators are just really sick individuals with sick fantasies, if the child produced from one’s loins is the one tickling sexual desires in an individual, I mean, that is extremely disturbing… serious mental health issues.

But from another angle, victims form victims.. Perhaps the rapist was also raped by his/her parents or relatives, the issue wasn’t spoken about and no help was given , grows up and molests another young child and the circle goes on and on.

This topic gives me great concern, because having your innocence stripped from you by the one you call endearing names, by the ones who swore to protect and keep you safe at all cost is Truely Horrifying and scary to be honest.

  • Who can children trust now, now that their trust is been thrown away by their own parents and relatives?
  • Who can we trust to look after our children, (I mean am I sure “Uncle dave” won’t be indulged in inappropriate touching of my daughter or son??)?
  • I guess We can only look up to the almighty to trust and also teach the young ones to trust No one! ( I mean, are there other choices?)
  • I was watching a crime documentary, about an incest survivor that was raped severely by her father from aged 11-18, and at some point he started threatening to start the same cycle with her younger sisters, now! That is the ultimate definition of betrayal!

This act of inhumanity affects incest victims immensely,

    • the inner battles of depression,
    • Feelings of shame and low self esteem,
    • build up of hate against themselves and humanity,
    • also lets not forget the psychological trauma and PTSD the victims encounters.

What is the reasonable solution to this indoor torment?

    First of all,

    • Incest victims should be encouraged to speak out, tell their stories and get help, though there might be threats from the rapist to hurt them even more if the truth is reveal. But Rape victims deserve better, no need to live in fear forever, we should encourage victims to boldly speak out and tell their stories, so Lady justice can be served!
    • Show Rape victims love and care, they should assured that the unfortunate incident does not define who they are and their future, they can still become whoever they want to be, great and shame-free.

What do you think are solutions to this silent torment? Let me know!!
